Choosing the width of wedding bands for women

Most man aren’t accustomed to wearing rings, so when it comes to choosing wedding bands for women, some men aren’t sure what width is suitable to choose for their girlfriend or wife.

Most men choose a 6mm width for man’s wedding ring and 2mm for women's wedding rings. A 2mm width suits fingers of almost all shapes and sizes for women’s wedding rings. A 2mm width is also a very comfortable width to wear for most woman.

Some women want a 3mm width is the next most popular of wedding bands for women, particularly for the women with long fingers or larger hands. Most women also find that the 3mm width is comfortable.

Bands wider than 4mm are normally reserved for woman who are specifically wanting a wide wedding bands just like the man’s wedding bands, or for more intricate designs that are only available in wider widths.

No matter which width you choose, it’s always best to remember these three things:

  1. Try on a sample ring in the width that you intend to purchase, to make sure that the width of wedding bands for women is comfortable for you, and suits your woman’s hand.
  2. Make sure that you have her finger size measured accurately by a local jeweler before purchasing her wedding bands ring.
